We booked the Imperial Morocco tour in October with On The Go Tours, and our guide was Jaouad. The 5-star rating is all thanks to him — he was absolutely fantastic! Polite, helpful, sincere, and always smiling. He genuinely cared about everyone in the group and went above and beyond to make sure we were happy throughout the trip. While the tour itself wasn’t the perfect fit for us, I’d suggest the company consider adjusting the itinerary — especially the Atlas Mountains day. We spent about eight hours driving just to stay overnight at a hotel before heading to Marrakech the next day. Personally, I would’ve preferred an extra night in Fes instead. Our driver, Jamal, was also wonderful — very accommodating and a pleasure to travel with. Overall, Jaouad truly made our trip special and memorable. He’s the reason this tour gets top marks from me. The company is lucky to have him.

I would give this tour group no stars if possible. The tour was not guaranteed but they did not inform me when I booked and they did not have enough people. Way after I booked they said I needed a doctors letter because I was over 70. Also way after booking I was informed I needed travel insurance. They knew my age when I booked. They would not refund my tour even though it was 4 months away.

We went on the Southern Vietnam - Cambodia tour and had a great time. I would give the tour itself 5 stars. The itinerary was very well thought through in terms of venues and pace. The tour guides were all excellent - extremely knowledgeable and friendly and couldn't do enough for us. They were always on time with high quality air conditioned transport and we felt well looked after. The hotels were a very high standard, especially in Cambodia. We had a wonderful time and would use this company again. However, outside of the tour communication was a bit hit and miss and we didnt feel 100% confident we knew what was happening, especially before the tour. The phone number we'd been given as a contact didnt work. The tour guide was great though and turned up and explained everything to us and put our minds at rest. Overall, a thoroughly enjoyable trip to such a great part of the world with really lovely people.

Recently returned from Greece, a 5 day tour with OTG. Unfortunately, I had a negative experience on day 2 where I needed local support to get me out of a tricky situation. This company doesn’t deserve even 1 star. I would not recommend this company. There are hidden fees which means the cost of the holiday ends up being very expensive. We recently came back from our trip to China where it is not customary to tip in restaurants & hotel staff. Yet we had to make a payment upfront in cash to to the guide for more than £100. The hotel service was appalling. Just think £100 from each person. The trip was suppose to be a Tour yet we had to pay for all entrance fees. We complained about the poor condition of the hotels but no one responded to our emails to date. The after sales service is non existent. Do not use this company. Far far too expensive for what you get. Not competitive at all. They messed up our booking; repeatedly asked for the same information. We spent so much time correcting their errors. Very difficult to get hold of anyone because they all work in S Africa or New Zealand. Absolute nightmare

Wonderful experience

Jamal is our tour guide. Right from the start, he created a group chat in whatsapp and if any issues to make sure we contact him. He was on the ball with every issue thrown at him. Luggage being left behind, stragglers wondered off in a different path, hotel room etc. He explains the various site along our route to give us a better understanding of the local cultures. We had a great time, thanks to Jamal.

Land of the Northern Lights 5 day tour of Iceland

The Land of Northern Lights tour was a triumph! My tour of Southern Iceland was absolutely wonderful. The venues chosen, the timing allotted at each venue and the variety of things to experience was nearly perfect. Our guide, "Thor", was smart, amusing, full of history and anecdotal stories as well as being incredibly hospitable and helpful. This small group experience was my first, but not my last thanks to On the Go.

On The Go Tours Sri Lanka was an incredible experience that was made even better by our tour guide Akthar. He was incredibly knowledgeable about his country and he loved sharing it with us. The tour covers a wide range of activities so you can truly experience what Sri Lanka is all about. The beautiful 4-5 star hotels at the end of every day was an absolute bonus. Terrible tour of India. For some reason On the Go hadn't realised that my room mate had booked her own room for the first night of tour. So the hotel in Delhi had tried to put me in her room after midnight, by wheeling in an extra bed. She went Crazy!! I then had to sit in hotel reception for hours. While the tour guide said he couldn't find me a room. Throughout the tour the guide consistently ask me and my room mate for money for my room, causing more friction between us. Don't book with this company had the worst experience ever. Go with Intrepid or G Adventure

King Tutankhamun 10 day tour of Egypt

I have just returned from my tour with On The Go and it was an amazing trip! From arriving at the airport and meeting the OTG representative, everything was well organised and hassle free.  Our tour guide was Amir. He is awesome!! From the beginning he was so friendly and enthusiastic about showing us around Egypt, giving us loads of information at each place and time to explore ourselves. Learnt so much from him about this fascinating place, and he was always happy to answer more questions.   The trip itself was amazing. There's lots of travelling on this trip, but it's really not too bad, and the sights you see when you get to where you are going are worth it. I'm not a big fan of boats, but the Felluca ride across the Nile was pretty fun too.  On the first day I also did the optional tour of Cairo with Ahmed Helal - another excellent guide from OTG. It's worth doing this add on as you don't spend much time in Cairo, and you go to three very different places.  I'm so glad that I decided to do this trip. It was just ace.  If you're thinking about it too, you should probably just book it. And hopefully you get Amir as your guide.

I have toured with On The Go three times now. Overall I have found the tours and guides have been excellent. Hotels and transport are usually good. On my most recent tour I enjoyed my time overall but there was an unexpected change to the itinerary part way through. The change wasn’t ideal, but more importantly for me it proved difficult to get transparent information out of them and work out an alternative plan. We reached a compromise in the end but I wouldn’t travel with them again on this basis. They will likely reply to this review citing their Ts&Cs, which will tell you everything you need to know!

We really enjoyed the 5 day South West Ireland Uncovered tour. Our tour guide Dan the Man was excellent. He had a lot of knowledge of Ireland, provided clear communication, had great humour along with a special music playlist that linked with the tour activities. There were extra activities added in when time permitted, which were awesome. We started the tour not knowing much about Ireland, and came away with so much appreciation for the country and it's history. Thank you Dan the Man!

I had used them once before and loved them. I decided to try them again for a Baltic tour not knowing that they put me on another Tour group- Baltic vision. Loved that tour but was not impressed they marked up the cost for me over 100%. I understand taking some for yourself because of paperwork, but over double the cost everyone else paid on the tour. Just double check before you book with them that you’re not over paying.

TOTALLY MOROCCO We booked a 9 day tour of Morocco visiting many main cities and places of interest. The coach was very comfortable and we felt safe with the driver Suliman. The guide was Hicham Touraouine and he was fantastic. He spoke perfect English as well as French, Arabic and Berber. He was so kind and considerate and made a good tour great. We particularly enjoyed ‘glamming in the Sahara Desert. So much to see and do and great food and company. We would definitely use On The Go Tours again, especially if Hicham was the guide. Egypt and Turkey tour was horrendous, not even worth one star. Over priced, so many things that were in the itinerary weren't included at all. The tour guide constantly lied to us, never gave any recommendations, was rude, and even allowed a random salesman onto the bus to harrass us without stepping in. We weren't provided any local foods with the included meals, mostly buffets at the hotel or overpriced dodgy, old 'event venue' style restaurants that would charge 10 x the amount for cans of Coca-Cola. Absolutely horrible. Want a refund to be honest. Felt like we didn't get to experience much of these great countries at all.

I booked three tours with this agency. While the first two experiences were very nice, with well-thought-out itineraries and knowledgeable guides, the third tour was an absolute nightmare for us. Due to the unavailability of an hotel from the trip notes, the agency opted to replace it with another they claimed was "similar." To our dismay, this alternative was nothing short of a decrepit, filthy establishment that threatened to ruin our entire safari experience in South Africa. But the fiasco didn't end there. This so-called hotel began proposing and organizing activities starkly different from what we were promised in the trip notes, together with an awful services of their guides and vehicles. And when this disaster struck and we desperately needed their support? The agency ghosted us. It took them an entire day to respond, and when they did, they simply shrugged off our concerns, asserting it was too late to fix anything, even though three nights of our trip were still ahead. The level of unprofessionalism was staggering. Forced to salvage our experience, we took matters into our own hands, leaving that awful place to book another hotel and activities for the remainder of our trip—all at my own expense. Based on my experience, I suggest travelers to think twice before considering this agency. Seek out reputable companies known for their commitment to customer service and integrity.

WOW! WOW! WOW! Forever grateful for our travel experience with ON THE GO TOURS Egypt edition. We hired them for a private guided tour for 10 days in Egypt and they delivered excellent service each day. They made our experience effortless, seamless, and the staff treated us like family. Each driver and guide were very pleasant, timely and so very welcoming. Chances are I will never even look at any other tour company going forward. It will always be ON THE GO for me! I will never recommend this company. I did the 10 tour of Turkey over Christmas. If you get a bad feeling from before booking, trust your gut people. I booked with On the go, then they contracted an agency, EuropaMundo, which then contracted a local company called Travel Express. All this means left hand isn't talking to the right hand. Also, in my 10 days, I had 3 different tour groups versus most companies you are with one group the whole time. Even before the trip, you can't call the company, just email. Then when asking questions, it would take two weeks to get back to me as they had to contact the other company on the ground. It was a mess....the website showed about 15 cities to see but sometimes we would get there at night, leave in the morning and not see the city. Beyond disappointed. I've been on a Gate 1 tour before and they are truly a well-organized tour company. I would NOT recommend this company.

We went on their Jewels of Greece Express tour which was a 5 day/4 night tour. We enjoyed it all. It was exactly as outlined in their promotional material. They provided information in advance and clear instructions. They were very quick to respond to any questions. The tour guides were great. Very informative. We were a small group of about 24 people which was perfect and enjoyed meeting several of the others in the group from all over the world.. All went smoothly. Would use again.

Had good experience with actual tour but don’t buy your tour early no matter what they say about it being a good price. I booked about 9mos out and a much better sale happened 2mos out. They won’t honor any price changes even though they had my deposit 7mos sooner. So don’t book early, just wait or look for a provider that will price adjust- there are alot of options out there.

Avoid at any cost, the company scammed me to pay for a tour which they had no intention to deliver. I wish I never heard of the company as I had an absolutely horrible experience on their Imperial Morocco Tour. The guide Lbhoucine robbed us at every opportunity and every day refused to deliver half of the itinerary. The hotels were horrible, cold, miserable, very remote and filthy: brown water came out of the tap at the remote hotel they took us to 20Km away from the Blue City! Nothing like the catalogue pictures the company sends you, in reality the experience was terrifying. We started at 8am everyday and were dropped at a hotel at 3pm. They basically left in remote accomodation without any food, drink or even water, lacking heating and basic sanitation. The guide and driver basically ran away from delivering half of the itinerary to enjoy themselves every day. They came back in the wee hours of the morning, woke up the guard dog, poor thing barked till sunrise, waking everyone on the compound up. The next day they both struggled to stay awake the next day. There were a series of close misses on the road where driver struggled to keep awak. Every day felt like we were on a trip to a funeral, dead quiet, the guide had a hangover and struggled to speak English. I tried to abandon the tour because the guide turned hostile when we complained. I was terrified of the guide and the driver, both were hostile, so asked for a taxi to exit the tour, the guide refused to let me leave and bullied me. He spoke in Moorish dialect with the hotel receptionist who then told me I had to pay £100 in cash or he will not book the taxi. The hotel was ver remote and had no ATM. The receptionist did his best to discourage me so said the taxi could not arrive until the next night and I had to pay £200 to the driver to take me to the train station which was 50km away. I felt terrified, exploited, shaken and scammed. This was not a holiday but a cold and miserable torture camp. When I got back, I called the company who refused any refund or even following any complaint handling procedure. Calling ABTA I discovered that the company lied on their website and the tours they sold were not at all protected. They didn't reply to my emails and when I called their head office in London, they lied and lied: we don't have any complaint handling staff, the customer service head is on holiday himself and cannot be reached, .... I called my credit card issuer who told me since I didn't manage to leave the tour half way, I could not use credit card dispute to get any refunds either. I compared notes with a friend who went to Morocco around the same time but organised everything herself and booked day trips locally; I realised I paid more than twice what she spent, didn't visit half of the cites and stayed at awful accomodations throughout. I'd avoid this company if I read any of the honest reviews on other platforms. I still feel horrified hearing this company's name: "On The GO Tour"! This was a total scam, amplified by the cash we had to pay to the guide and driver every day since they asked for tips everyday to fund their private party every night. The company at UK knows everything but do not care. Unethical, greedy UK HQ pays their staff in Morocco so little that the staff resort to scamming the guests in order to earn a living. The staff don't believe the guest deserve anything because they feel exploited by HQ themselves. Don't do what I did and avoid this company. If you don't have time to book the itinerary yourself at least book with a company which has real protection policy not like the fake protection "on the go tour" advertises.

Gallipoli tour. The guide was awesome. Everything went like clockwork.. My complaint is that you expect 4 people to cramp together on the back seat of the van for 4 hours. That is poverty travel. Not really acceptable for the price paid. So uncomfortable. If was to do this trip again I'd just rent a car. Although the guide was amazing, but that's 3 hours of the trip.

We booked the Land of Northern Lights and the actual trip was a wonderful experience we had a great guide and driver. The problem we had was with On the Go Tours. We accept meals are not included but did expect meals to be available. When in Hella the hotel restaurant was closed and there bistro was full, but we were told we could eat at about 7.45pm - when we asked again at 8pm we were told it would be another 15 - 30 mins. There is a street van, pizza and burger bar but all close at 8pm so we could not grab anything there - we had a Northern Lights presentation at 8.30pm so no chance of us getting meal at the only other restaurant. The next day our lunch stop was unable to provide lunch just coffee & cake! I have raised this with On the GO Tours and the bottom line is they do not include meals!!!!

Just back from India, the GoldenTriangle & Tigers Tour. What an amazing experience. The organisation by the staff of On The Go was exceptional, from start to finish. The tour was well planned and covered all of the expected sites as well as some more 'off beat' ones, which made for a great trip. Our tour guide, Yussef, was brilliant, knowledgable, engaging and fun to be with - he made the tour so much more than it would have been unguided (can't wait for his book!)

We had a wonderful "Land of the Samurai" tour in Japan. The itinerary was busy, educational and hit some very beautiful spots. The guides were excellent; friendly, knowledgeable and provided over the top assistance and guidance.

Totally Morocco - 9 days

This was a great tour through Morocco! There was quite a bit of time spent on the bus but the stops to see the sites and breaks were timed perfectly. It allowed us to see so much of Morocco in a short amount of time. What really made this trip extra special was our tour guide Hicham! He was so friendly, professional, knowledgeable and had an infinite amount of patience. You could tell that he is very proud of his country - as he should be! When I arrived, I mentioned that I was sad about missing Chefchaoen and he went out of his way to make sure we could add it to our itinerary (luckily the other 2 people on the trip also wanted to go). It was a highlight for me! This was my second On The Go tour. The first tour was amazing (Pyramids, Petra and Promised Land) so the bar was set high but Hicham and Hussein made this trip just as memorable!
