The tour was actually with a touring company called Intrepid. The tour was excellent. Tourhub was not very helpful: they never mentioned intrepid & intrepid app. I missed a lot of information and updates most likely because Tourhub didn’t provide my info to intrepid. When asked the website to obtain e-visas and arrival cards, Tourhub didn’t provide them.

They offer some great deals and group travel itineraries without the flights but will include them if needed by the traveller ; leaving one to choose a more personal holiday stance or exploration & time schedule too. Neat!

What a fabulous, exciting and fun filled tour! The guides went out of their way to ensure you had the best time ever and the other travellers in my groups were brilliant. Some of us have already started WhatsApp groups to keep in touch and hopefully meet up on other Intrepid tours in the future. There was a complete range in ages from 24 to myself at 73 and we all managed to find so many offered excursions to include covering each person's capabilities. I would very highly recommend this tour as I could never have seen so much and arranged such a variation in accommodations and transports on my own. Everyday had it's highlights so it's difficult to pin down the best country, city or experience 😍 Thank you Intrepid for a fun filled 30 days

Just leaving a review to share how much I enjoyed my Central America trip. I thought the guide, Aura was so knowledgeable and organised and clearly a great ambassador for Intrepid. She gave us lots of information on each region, helped us organise anything we needed and dealt with queries from passengers very well and diplomatically. She made the trip run smoothly. She was also keen to explain the Intrepid vision and how the company values making a difference to locals and is a credit to your company. I did Guatemala and beyond and thoroughly enjoyed it - very fast paced, lots to see and do and a great overview of the region. I would definitely recommend 👍

I just completed my first Intrepid tour which was 33 days travelling around Central America - I had the time of my life! It was great to have the benefit of a guide (Fluffy was amazing!) and be able to ask questions at any point, but I also liked the freedom that you were permitted throughout. The group tour made boarder crossings seamless and the whole process felt easy - there was never one hiccup. As a solo female traveller, I felt safe throughout, and I cannot recommend Central America enough - the people, the food, the sun and the activities were just amazing :) Can't wait to book my next adventure soon!

Loved every minute of this wonderful tour the itinerary was amazing exactly what I was expecting and hoping for Intrepid you did not disappoint just like my previous trip to East Africa. New Zealand was a beautiful tour the accommodations were great having breakfast included daily was a definite bonus learning about the Māori culture was very interesting and the scenery was outstanding a trip to remember

The Intrepid tour to Everest Base camp is the best tour I have ever done. The itinerary was perfect and the guides were incredible. They look after the participants constantly and are constantly on the look out for any issues with altitude.
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this trip it was amazing

Premium Egypt & Jordan in Depth
Overall, the Egypt portion of this trip was great (we had to cancel the Jordan portion due to illness). The tour guide Miriam was very knowledgeable and personable. The size of the group (12) was perfect and made negotiating the various sites easy. The Nile Cruise was a disappointment - 4 nights is too long on the boat, and our particular boat was not up to the "premium" status of the trip. We appreciated having all the site fees included in the tour rather than multiple extra costs. We would have liked more time at both the Giza plateau, and the Great Egyptian Museum. El Alamein was interesting but a long side trip for a short visit. Intrepid was responsive to the groups concerns about the nile cruise. We would recommend Tourhub - the agents have been very responsive and helpful.

Cambodia & Vietnam Experience
I had a difficult series of flights from Canada in February as the connecting flight to Vancouver was delayed due to weather and the flight to Bangkok left without us. As a result alternate arrangement were made through Seoul S Korea and overnight at the Vancouver airport. My bag was delayed at getting to Bangkok as a result. I hit my head very hard on the lever in the shower at the hotel in Bangkok requiring ice the hotel fortunately had. So a rough beginning. It was disappointing that we were not able to go to Battambang. Otherwise the Cambodia leg was peaceful. Except my room share was not working out as for what ever reason she decided to bunk in with another guest. It was all very strange as she bad mouthed me to the others. The Vietnam leg was fast paced. It went well however same roommate hocked up with another person, bad mouthed again to this new group. I ended up with a room to myself but no reason given for this. A very hateful person at the end of the day. My only complaint the hotels in Vietnam not the best and in Hanoi the old decrepit Rising Dragon plugs wouldn’t stay in the wall and no wifi. Too old. The stay at the Sea and Sun at Cat Ba the beds so hard we were using quilts and pillows to even be able to sleep at all. By morning I could barely stand up. A person should be able to at least get a nights rest and there was no way there. I understand it was Basic. So I feel the accommodations were the biggest complaint I would have. Other than unfriendly group members. I had a great time making my own time what it was and enjoyed the trip from that angle. Tour guides were good and helpful more so in Vietnam. He went over and above. The guide in Cambodia did an acceptable job. But made fun of the fact that I didn’t understand his English at times. But unfortunately have some hearing loss.

Tourhub was not helpful at all. I paid for airport pick up and had the pick up person at the wrong terminal. Despite booking extra nights hotel at the beginning of the trip, when I got to the hotel after midnight, there was no reservation. I had to negotiate with the front desk clerk to get a room. The hotel in Casablanca is beyond bad...it smells, windows dont properly close, and the water is lukewarm at best. The tour guides English was ok but he struggled to communicate. He had a blurb on his phone that he would read each day...it was quite funny as his intonation and sentence structure was wrong....despite him being with the company for 2.5 years. The worst example of this was his blurb that told us to sit back and enjoy....the farms up in the hills, the beautiful vistas, on a day it was so foggy that visibility was 100 feet. The guide almost lost tour participants a couple of times. He walked very quickly and was not cognizant of where the participants were. When the trip guide says orientation tour...that means the tour guide tells you what direction north, south, east and west is and then walks away...its basically a "why bother", you are completely on your own unless you book the "optional tour". The optional tours are at least 2/3rds more than what you can book the same tour for locally. The kicker at the end was the 7 hour train ride on the last day...the tour guide did not check if the cafeteria car was open due to Ramadan...it was not...no one had food the entire trip!!!! The itinerary was not bad. A day in Casablanca as part of the tour would be great. The highlights of the tour was Chefchaouen and Moulay Idris. Get a free walking tour in Chefchaouen. Moulay Idris was a very authentic Moroccan village, which was nice to see. The walks thru the medinas are nice but a ton of time was spent in overpriced vendors showing you how stuff is done and then hoping you'll pay too much for their wares. For instance in Marrakesh the local guide walked us thru the medina to a herbal shop for their sales pitch and then walked us out thru a back lane...and that was our Marrakesh tour. The buses are clean, high speed train great, but the 7 hour train has a bathroom that empties directly onto the tracks. Most accommodation was pretty good. We went in February, it was cool and many places the heat did not work. One other issue was the tip kitty...this tour is run all the time. The operator should know exactly how much the tips should equal. At the end of our tour there was about 800 morroccan dirham left in the kitty - about $88 US dollars!!! Of course our guide suggested it could be returned to the participants or perhaps form part of his tip....so the impression is that the guide did not tip enough so that there was money left for him!!!!

I have just come back home after doing Intrepid's 10-day Vietnam Express Northbound tour. What a SUPERB tour. We saw lots and did lots, it was jam-packed full of sights and activities. Our tour leader, Tam, was the best ever. Very knowledgeable, organised and lots of fun too. The other 10 people on the group were all lovely. The places we visited were very interesting. We even visited local homes and ate just like the local people do. I highly recommend Intrepid to anyone considering touring a new country. This was my 5th tour with them and they have consistently been fantastic.

We booked the 10 day Group Explorer package with them for Vietnam and Wow !!! . It was fantastic. We were initially a bit anxious, but that all settled after day one. There is a fair bit of travelling and moving involved, but we'll woth it as you get to see and experience loads .Our Guide Huy was brilliant and looked after us really well from local knowledge to restaurants and tour information and activities . It's worth doing folks with intrepid . Well done, keep up that standard of service.

I have travelled with Intrepid a number of times now and can't recommend them enough. The trips are always exciting, full of history and immersive in the culture and environment. The office staff are great too and always happy to help with any questions you might have. Everywhere I have gone with the company has been different but the guides and itinerary have always been excellent and full of knowledge and passion for their country. Add in the social responsibility angle the company has and it top quality ethical practice and you can't go wrong

I recently went on an 11 day tour of India with Intrepid and was impressed with every aspect of the tour, the tour leader and the organisation behind the scenes. I always travel alone so it was a big deal to join a tour, I didn't want to feel less independent or ferried about. I loved being part of a group and the things we saw and did on the tour, I would never have known about or seen if I had been by myself. I loved it from start to finish. Yes the overnight trains were not easy to sleep on, but I managed. Meeting locals on board was a high light for me. English is widely spoken in India and its amazing who you strike up a chat with. I had two problems on the tour - one my own fault and one hotel related. The support from Intrepid was amazing. I cannot thank them enough for going the extra mile to support me. I recommend Intrepid 100% and have gone from thinking an organised tour is for people who don't know about Lonely Planet and can't do solo stuff, to realising its a faster, better, more fun way to get to know a country truly and deeply whilst on a bit of a budget. I will book again and again with Intrepid. I loved it that much! Big thanks to tour leader Daddy H. Devender for his help on day one, and Nick in the Oz office for his fab customer care skills. Also the person who staffed the emergency whatsapp in India - you saved my sanity helping me get there a day late! THANK YOU ALL X

Enjoyed the New Zealand South island pioneer tour in February run by Intrepid/Haka tours. Our guide Pelle was great.
We had a problem with booking an additional night at the start, which Intrepid sorted out very helpfully and to our satisfaction (thank you Tabitha). Our only issue was that some members of the group were already on the tour on North Island, so it's worth being aware of that. Had a fab time.

This was my first international solo trip, but I never felt “alone” - there was always someone to go shopping, hike, or grab a quick bite with. The itinerary was a great balance between organized activities, while still allowing free time for exploring. Each location was unique and charming in its own way. Spending the night in the holy city of Moulay Idriss and wandering the winding streets of Chefchaouen were especially memorable. Thank you Mustapha and Intrepid for an incredible adventure!

I have recently completed the Premium India In Depth tour.
A most wonderful introduction to this amazing continent.
From the Taj Mahal to Tigers 🐅 in the wild , dining whe the locals eat and a couple of meals with families was a great way to embrace the people and their culture. Magnificent architecture,be it Forts or Shrines. The most informative and inspiring of guides was great to have with us. Mumbai to Delhi and 6 more cities plus A Safari included.
Best trip to experience India 🇮🇳.
Prepare to have all your senses assaulted .

Excellent destinations but a bit rushed.

The tour guide Victor worked hard and on the whole was efficient.
The highlights were the Paraty boat excursion and Rio de Janeiro.

Trip with New Scientist / Intrepid to Costa Rica was amazing! Pre trip information and communications were very good. On the trip the guide, Jordan, was superb! Kind, friendly, knowledgeable, efficient, very funny. His enthusiasm and optimism were infectious.

Amazing tour of Egypt with our guide Dalia, who made everything run so smoothly. We didn’t have to worry about anything we could just enjoy the experiences which varied every day. The tour not only covered the main historical sights but also included a couple of evenings enjoying the hospitality of local people which was truly special, a felucca ride, afternoon tea at the Cataract hotel was also a highlight and our hot air balloon ride was unbelievable. A tour that kept giving and one which we will cherish forever. We had a great group of people who made it so special. Highly recommend Intrepid- not just a great holiday but a wonderful experience.

We had a fantastic time on the Botswana Highlights tour recently. We chose Intrepid because it seemed to suit what we wanted - well planned itinerary, small group, comfortable without being overly luxurious (and pricey), and supportive of the local community and environment. We weren't disappointed, and as we met with other like-minded travellers then we all had a great time. We are already planning our next Intrepid tour - maybe Vietnam & Cambodia :-)

Highlights of Thailand, November 2024
An absolutely fantastic tour which ticked every box for me, and more. I'm a single female traveler and have traveled a lot alone, but wanted to try out this type of organised, small group travel. The quality and variety of the content of the tour exceeded my expectations - a brilliant blend of interesting activities, from incredible temples and Buddhas to cooking class to cycling around a UNESCO site to getting close to elephants. Plus each hotel was excellent.
Partly I chose this tour because it's overland rather than flying, and I'm glad I did. You can cover big distances quickly flying but I loved seeing and experiencing the landscapes and people close up. Our drivers were excellent too, and a train journey added an interesting experience.
I got to spend 10 days with a great group of fellow travelers who I felt completely safe and comfortable with. And our guide Damrong was an absolute star, so knowledgeable with an endless stream of interesting facts, funny, hardworking, kind and caring. Big thumbs up for Damrong and Intrepid. I'll definitely be looking for my next trip with Intrepid when I get home!
As a single female traveler my first trip with Intrepid ticked every box and completely exceeded my expectations. The content of the tour was fantastic, and I genuinely felt in safe hands. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Intrepid and I'll definitely be booking my next trip with them.

Amazing Guatemala and beyond tour with Intrepid
Did Guatemala and beyond trip in November 22. It was amazing, we were so well looked after by our guide Aura. She was very knowledgeable and during our bus trips she gave us the history of the 4 countries. The border crossings can be tricky but handled very well by our guide. We saw all the most interesting and beautiful places. The hotels were lovely comfortable colonial style. I will travel with intrepid again

I have just completed my first trip with Intrepid to Southern Africa, and I loved every moment of it! We saw so much wildlife, stayed in some beautiful places, and learnt so much about the countries and people in a very short space of time. Our group leader, Admore, was exceptionally organised, coordinating every detail of our packed itinerary and keeping us informed along the way. The recruitment of a local group leader who can share their knowledge and fix the smallest of issues quickly really sets these trips apart, ensuring you feel safe and looked after at all times. Gorillas & Game Parks
I loved this trip, but I thought the description is limited. The amount of driving getting to each of the parks was 7-8 hours a day, for 2 out of 3 days of the trip, The write up list only 3 long drive days, it should be more like 8-9 long drive days. We had to break camp at 5:15 am, to be on the road by 6 am.
Booking in advance for activities is a scam by intrepid. We paid $205 in advance for a trip that we could have bought the day of for $130. DO Not book activities in advance.
Camping was our plan, but we thought we would be camping in the parks, not some hotel/lodges front lawn, The first night was in a national park, and we had Zebras by our tent. The rest were on lawns of lodges. Plus some of the lodges had upgrades. Of the 17 folks in our trip, 16 wanted upgrades, but most of the time, we were at lodges that had only 3-6 upgrade rooms, and we had to draw names out of a hat. Please pick lodges that have more acommodations available if we are truly camping on their lawns.
The airline lost our luggage, and Intrepid helped us get them, on day 2 and day 3 (bags arrived separately). We really appreciated it, but we later learned that the $200 and $400 dollars intrepid charged us, only $20 went to the driver and the rest went to intrepid. I thought Intrepid was trying to invest in the countries, but it appears that is not the case
The vehicles and tour personal were great, polite and We enjoyed them. Overall the trip was great, I just wish they actually camped in the National parks and did not overcharge for services.

we used intrepid travels many times, we did Asia, Jordan, Uzbekistan. The itineraries are varied and you can find the best offer on your budget. We normally chose to use the intrepid trips as we have little time to organize the trips in locations where there might a language/transport barrier. Uzbekistan for example was great as we had a great guide , bus since the main foreign language there is Russian it would have been a little difficult to go around. Generally we enjoy the people in our groups and the tour leaders are mostly very nice and can give you many insights in the country.

This was a bucket list trip and the organisation and execution by Intrepid and Paola was all we could have hoped for. The hotels were well situated the walking tours in the above mentioned cities were well planned, lots of knowledge and information imparted as well as frequent stops to sightsee, grab a coffee/tea and enjoy the atmosphere. The choice of wineries to taste and learn about numerous South American wines were great - all unique in their own way. The included meals were lovely and catered for all needs and tastes. Thanks team Intrepid we will be back!

We took the 14 day Mexico Unplugged tour, and it was truly first class. One of the best guides we've ever had; a carefully considered and well balanced programme; very good accommodation and access to things we would never have found/considered on our own. We covered a huge amount of ground but the cultural insights gained were genuinely surprising and enlightening - from dancing in town squares to earthquakes to Mayan chicken sacrifice rituals.

I had the most amazing time travelling with Intrepid. This was my first ever trip as a solo female traveller so I felt very nervous before hand but as soon as I met my leader, Lena, I knew I had picked the right company. I did the Essential Bali and Gili Island tour. The whole tour was organised perfectly and having the option of relaxing on the free days meant I could relax if and when needed. All the activities included in the trip were amazing, and really helped me learn about Balinese culture. Our leader also suggested multiple optional activities to participate in if we wanted and she took the time to help group members organise their own activities. The accommodation was perfect, it exceeded what my expectations were. This experience has given me the confidence to travel solo in the future. If you’re stuck about whether to go or not like I was, just book it! It was honestly the best thing I’ve ever done.

Just came back off an amazing trip to Turkey. No I didn’t stay in an all inclusive resort for a week, I went on a highlights of Turkey tour with Intrepid and saw the real beating heart of Turkey. I went in with no expectations and was amazed by the culture, history and people of Turkey but even more so with Intrepid who put a really thoughtful itinerary together which yes has you going to all the important tourist spots but also includes visiting small local communities and using smaller family run hotels which I for one really enjoyed and appreciated. I have a list of places I want to visit including Kilimanjaro, Jordan, Morocco, Egypt and Costa Rica and am definitely going to be checking out Intrepids trips for these. Thank you Intrepid for a great trip.

Copenhagen to Northern Norway
Of all the accommodations only one was fine. A special shout out to Le Mat which was terrible. The food was so bad we had to pay for our breakfast elsewhere, which was supposedly included with tour. The accommodation in Copenhagen was also inferior. The shower curtain was about a foot too short, so the whole bathroom would inundate with water. We had to use many extra towels to absorb some of the water which would spill into bedroom. Management said we were welcome to check out!! The hypocrisy is intrepid claims to care about the environment and are sustainably friendly...what a joke!! So very wasteful. This was the first and last Intrepid tour.

It was the first time for me joining a guided tour like this and I really enjoyed it.
The guide makes sure that your days are filled with amazing activities teachers you about the country and it's culture and also shows you locations you wouldn't know about as a solo traveller.
There are different comfort levels as well so you should be able to find the trip suited for you.
I'll definitely book another trip in the future.

Essential Morocca
Essential Morocco was an absolute dream. Every single day had such informative walking tours and tours of local facilities. Whether it was dinner with a local family or visiting a pottery factory, I learned so much about Moroccan culture. The accommodations were safe and I felt secure the entire 11 days. This trip wouldn’t have been the same without one person. That person is Youssef. If you are coming to Morocco with Intrepid and you don’t request Youssef, you’re doing it wrong. Words cannot describe how incredible of a guide he is. There were 3 of us on our trip of 18-29 year olds and he made us all feel so welcome and safe all the time. Whether that is cracking jokes on long drives or giving us the itinerary for the next day, Youssef ensured we felt respected and seen.

I did the 11 day Armenia & Georgia trip and it was absolutely magical! Our guide Jenya was amazing as was David our driver in Armenia. Intrepid arranges these local cooking class lunches which were some of my favorite things we did. We only had three people in our group so it was really nice. I traveled Solo which they let you share a room with someone else or for a little extra you can have your own room which I did. Yes Armenia is a little rough and not as nice as Georgia but when you got out of Yerevan it was beautiful and the Armenian’s are very warm and Friendly. Can’t wait to take more trips with Intrepid!
If you do not play well with others this is not a trip for you. Intrepid is group travel so if you’re bossy or don’t get along with people please don’t make others suffer, lol
It’s a democracy and usually done by group consensus. Also do not be a cheap tipper double the recommended tip they suggest especially for your trip guide!
And people who are cheap tippers it says a lot about your character. If you can’t afford to tip well you shouldn’t take the trip! Remember an extra five or $10 can make a real difference in these peoples lives especially considering the average salary is $300-$500 a month in Georgia and Armenia. Let that sink in.

Tourhub services were efficient and helpful. The booking process is straightforward and once I got my head around the online support and document management, it worked well. My questions were answered. Overall, Tourhub provided a good service.

The monuments, madrassas, mosques, minerettes were breath taking. Our local guide Lochin was incredible! He made our trip easy, memorable and took us to the best places at exactly the right time to avoid any crowds. His historical knowledge and story telling ability was impeccable and captivating. He took us to the best of each place including the shops that sold quality products and allowed us ample time to explore on our own. Khiva was a lovely end to our trip, definitely not one to miss. Uzbekistan is still an authentic & beautiful country to visit. It captured both our heart and minds.

We have just had the most amazing time on an Intrepid Premium Japan Tour. Our Tour Guide, Shingo, was excellent and couldn't do enough for us, often offering extra activities even though they weren't part of the normal itinerary. During our trip it was our 30th Wedding anniversary and Shingo arranged a Karaoke evening and a celebratory cake which was great fun.
We used local transport to get around, buses, trams and bullet trains and everything worked like clockwork. All of the hotels were excellent and in very good locations. Shingo would recommend places to eat and left it up to us if we joined him or not. There were 9 fellow travellers on the tour and we all got on brilliantly and felt sad to say goodbye. We would definitely recommend this tour, Japan is a fabulous country and the people are very warm and friendly. We are very well travelled, however, this is one of our most favourite holidays ever! Bravo Shingo and Intrepid!!

We've recently returned from the Moroccan Discovery trip which was fabulous. The tour guide Mo was so attentive, couldn't do enough for us and nothing was too much trouble. We learned so much and saw such varied landscapes. Our driver Medi was also so helpful and friendly. Can't recommend the trip and Intrepid highly enough. Have travelled before with Intrepid and will definitely book again.

This trip ranks amongst the top ten trips I have ever undertaken. It deserves this rank due primarily to the dedication and care of our group leader, Abby. He made the trip for me and my fellow travellers with his knowledge of history and wildlife of both countries. The trip itself was so interesting in terms of seeing different locations and eco systems. I would definitely book another trip with Intrepid as it was value for money.

Tourhub did a good job of answering my questions in a timely fashion and provided some great discounts. I will likely use them again.
